Did BigMig crack the 'secret sauce'?
Veteran TheEEStory.com user BigMig proposes that EEStor's EESU (Electrical Energy Storage Unit) is a new invention. A "Memory Capacitor" as predicted by Prof. Chua of Berkley. Prof. Chua can be seen predicting such a new invention, here, at 45:54:
.
BigMig also offered these annimated graphics during his explanation of the technique.
(FWIW, the technical stuff is still beyond me, for the moment!)

Thanks BigMig , nekote and everyone else that helped out that chat was amazing. I have read it five times and think I might just have the big picture. But I have a few questions, I see how the charge on the plates allows the barrier quantum tunneling into the BT. Would it charge based on raising the voltage on the plate till the BT reaches equilibrium or the plate reaches max 3500 degrees? And would the discharge work though the same mechanism, by dropping the voltage of the plate the charge would tunnel out or does the discharge need another mechanism?
this is definetly beyond me, but i heard more than once him talking about flux. And he names the thing "memory capacitor." Seriously? how is the name not obvious?
I see how it explains the extremely low rate of discharge over time, but does it explain the huge energy density?
Did I miss something or was the energy density of a Memory Capacity a function of Voltage (not Voltage squared)?
I love it.
You here that "Whooshing" sound? Thats the sound of this going over your head... :D
