Grand Prairie, TX is just over 200 miles from Austin. That's not very far in Texas mileage.

"Disruptive technology" You don't hear that very often in a job posting for a management position.

B, Correct me if I'm wrong but was the MFC division the same division that showed their new energy storage/distribution project?

Hum, Grand Prairie, Texas. Must have a pro-duck-shun line there or something. 1-2 trips per month, maybe to Austin or someplace like that.

"Security Clearance Secret"

If this is indeed about EEstor it is a good thing that they only require secret clearance. Top Secret would have meant it might stay under for a while. They put the Secret label on everything in the government. It's small potatoes. Maybe they are soon ready to divulge.

there's a ton of distribution tech and engineer jobs opening right now because of the smart-grid subsidy. Industrial customers get a price break for hooking in and allowing some measure of load control from the grid controllers. There's nothing here that looks like anything but exactly that.

Can anyone figure out when LM started getting so interested in micrgrids and grid management? Does it coincide with the EEStor agreement? Hmmm... Kinda obvious, and they could have been talking long before the press releases, but it would be interesting to know their history in this field.

Odd, but we all have heard "disruptive technology" plenty with regard to EEStor.

Hey Y_No, take a look at this:
http://www.theeestory.com/articles/126
The theory is:
This technology has EEStor in mind for the storage source.
This technology is being pushed by the MFC division of Lockheed, and this job description is being pushed by the same Division... So connect the dots, and you can infer that this job description is for someone who would be working closely with EEStor technology.

Fun where that kind of line of thought leads huh?

LM has indicated an intent to enter this market and I think so independent of whether EEStor panned out or not.

I agree dfw - except for the bit on disruptive technology. That's what piques my interest in this combined with the relatively close proximity to Austin.

I agree. The mention of 'disruptive technology' is a real stunner. The notice is of no importance whatsoever except for that. It's encouraging, too, for this agnostic, because this would be the only sign we've had in a year that LM still thinks EEstor works (all the patent stuff was written last year just after LM entered the picture).

Sure, EEStor is the most exciting possible disruptive technology (especially on this site), but i'm sure they have several technologies that they might feel are disruptive in the area of generation as well as storage and even related areas of security and management systems.
