People often ask if they can send me funds to help pay for this website. I've had people offer me stock too. I appreciate the recognition of the effort required not simply to keep the site running but to keep finding new information about EEStor Inc. But if you've benefited from, for example, the entertainment of the website, then I would respectfully ask that you make a donation to my preferred charity, Nyumbani, which supports the lives of children orphaned by AIDS.

I met the founder, Father Angelo D' Agostino (who is almost certainly a Saint by the strictest of definitions) after he spoke at the church I attend. I was very struck by his ability to communicate clearly and effectively about the doom facing AIDS orphans in Africa while the solution to their demise was in the hands of large pharmaceutical firms. His point was a moral one, not a political or legal one and it was very compelling. If you study this organization that he founded, you will see that his message has had resonance across a wide spectrum of people of various beliefs and it's success continues to grow.

Someone recently inquired about whether or not there was an option to donate stock to this charity. There is and it is described below. My personal preference for my own donations would be to stipulate the earliest date it could be sold...but in your case, that would be your business.

So there you have it. Stop telling me how much you like the website and start emptying your pockets and stock accounts.

Way to go B. Much better than the cynical church of SciEesu idea. :)
Little concerned you don’t want them to sell the stock a year from now though…
Thanks for the blog.

I will donate either way, but is this a non-profit organization? or can we help to make it such?? seems like that may encourage more donations.

thanks for this good cause!
