http://venturebeat.com/2008/11/18/energ2-aims-t...

"EnerG2 Inc., an ultracapacitor startup that has kept quiet until now, is launching today with the official announcement that it has raised $8.5 million in its first round of financing. Founded in 2003, it has spent five years developing electrode materials that it claims can boost the performance of ultracapacitors, devices that are useful in electric cars and smaller electronic devices."

How is it EnerG2 can raise $8.5 million in financing and EESTOR which we are told is going to revolutionize the world is out of funding??? Something smells rotten in EESTOR!!!

It's November 2008...Do you know where your EESU is?

Same place it's always been...

Besides, if they told us and we knew it was real, where would the hours we spend here go? There's no fun in that.

So It seems I have spent a great deal of time reading and trying to absorb some useful info.

It seems there is a school of thought here that would say that EESTOR does not want to show a prototype because then there would be a mad dash from the other Cap companies to develop their product.

However, this flies in the face of their own words when you have the CEO saying there is "NO BS" in regards to his product. They have gone to great lengths to say that there is one, only to go to greater lengths to avoid any 2nd or 3rd party substantiation. This makes no sense as far as I can see. Something smells rotten.

The latest excuse for the delay of an EESU is lack of funding according to this blog.

IF you want to support EESTOR financially, the following was a reply to one of my posts:

"Donations can be sent to the following address less question more money we are on a path here thank you in advance.
715 Discovery Blvd # 107,
Cedar Park, TX"

Does anyone know how EnerG2's ultracapacitor stacks up against an EESU? Or is this something that can be used with an EESU to make it even better?

From the article.

Despite the improvements, EnerG2 isn’t targeting ultracapacitor applications that compete head-on with batteries, at least at first. Even with its new materials, ultracapacitors won’t approach the energy densities of batteries, so the company has set its sights on applications where other attributes, such as power density, cycle life or fast charging, are more important.

Not really an EEStor competitor as EESUs will have energy densities much better than the best batteries. As to whether this technique can be "added" to EEStor's technology you'll have to wait for an SME to speculate.

Expecting by March 09
Had been hoping for an early X-Mas present
Disappointed if it goes past Oct 09
