When the facts change, I change my mind," John Maynard Keynes once observed in a debate. "What do you do, sir?" Why, sir, they take no notice of changed facts and so are untroubled by such questions.

Happy New Year guys! 2012 is now upon us- a new year of hope, of anticipation, of new beginnings- of leaked interviews, of contended patents, of contentious posts- our continuing eestory saga! All before has just been the calm before the storm. And I think I hear thunder rolling down from the months ahead, a glimmer of flashes in the dark, inpenetrable night of this future year yet to come to pass.

Back at ya, John, you are one of my favorite posters on TheEEStory. Same to many of those with whom I differ; the presence of diverse opinions here ups the game for all who read. Without this group, I think a lot of us would have wandered off and those who have invested would have lost interest.

Here's to a wonderful 2012, maybe the end of the world as we know it!
