Trick you are lying about the Prius. The Prius drivetrain is simple. The car is not heavy. 50 mpg is easy in the Prius and 60 is common. It is very cheap to own/operate with maintenance costs less than non-hybrid - no break jobs ever, for example. Batteries last longer than the rest of the car.

Manufacturing the car is not environmentally harsher than a gas car - you're spouting a total myth that's been completely discredited. Plus it's a mainstream car, high selling vehicle. Has been a Top 10 seller in many markets including the USA.

Sorry but you are the deluded one. The hybrid system's only complex part is the ICE. Your schematic of the system says nothing contrary. The ICE is the weak link.

In regards to CO2, the car produces half the CO2 when driving that a gas car does, as shown in your own image. During its lifetime a car's total CO2/energy use impact is 90% from driving (not manufacturing) so overall the Prius' CO2 emissions are far lower than that from a gas car.

You are obviously too simple to understand this data or you have an agenda against hybrids.
